This litigation arises out of the distribution of the estate of Hiriam "Hank" Williams, Sr., who died intestate in 1953. The original state-court proceedings to distribute the estate concluded in 1975, at which time plaintiff Randall "Hank" Williams, Jr., was declared the sole heir to his father's estate.
