The plaintiffs, Everett and Nell Bacle, sued James Wade, his employee, Ed Free, and their insurer, Louisiana Farm Bureau, for damages arising from an incident in which a trailer being pulled by Mr. Free struck and injured Mr. Bacle. After a bench trial, the court allocated fault 25% to Mr. Bacle and 75% to the defendants; awarded general and special damages and loss of future earnings; and awarded Mrs. Bacle $2,000 for loss of consortium.
