This case came before us on the defendant's appeal from a judgment of conviction on five counts of an indictment that charged the defendant, William McDonald, with four incidents of sexual assault on one of his daughters (Beth) and one incident of assault with intent to commit sexual assault on another of his daughters (Doris).
