On February 13, 1991 the defendant Sidney Raiford was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, a violation of R.S. 40:967. The trial court denied the defendant's motion to suppress evidence and on April 10, 1991, a twelve-person jury found the defendant guilty as charged.
