Defendant-Appellant Michael Anthony Shell was sentenced within the guidelines following his conviction on pleas of guilty to one of two counts of making false written statements in the process of acquiring a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(6), and to one of two counts of unlawful receipt of firearms by a convicted felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). He was, however, denied a reduction of six points in his offense...
