I. INTRODUCTION

Sandstrom & Sons, Inc. sued the State of Alaska for breach of contract. During the course of the litigation, Sandstrom failed to comply with a superior court order requiring Sandstrom to produce discoverable materials. It also failed to oppose in a timely fashion the State's motion for summary judgment. As a sanction, the superior court dismissed Sandstrom's suit with prejudice. Sandstrom appeals. We...
