In July, 1990, the defendant-appellant, Linda Sue Baker, and her co-defendant, Blas P. Serranno, Jr., participated in a cocaine sale to a Drug Enforcement Administration special agent. Both were arrested, charged with one count of conspiring to distribute cocaine and two counts of possession with intent to distribute. 21 U.S.C. §§ 846 and 841(a)(1).
