This is a life insurance case involving cross-motions for summary judgment on the issues of coverage and standing. Bonnie L. Smith (Smith), plaintiff-appellee, claims that she is entitled to $25,000 of life insurance proceeds under a policy issued by defendant-appellant New England Mutual Life Insurance Company (New England).
