Sharron Williams, appellant, and Herbert Waldman, respondent, were originally married on March 17, 1962. The couple divorced in 1965 during the time Herbert attended law school, then remarried in 1967. Sharron states that she dropped out of college in order to maintain the couple's finances during Herbert's law school enrollment.
