Lloyd Johnson, Jr., defendant, was charged by bill of information with attempted first degree murder, in violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and 14:30 A(5)1. He pled not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. The trial court appointed a sanity commission and, after a hearing, found defendant competent to stand trial. After a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to imprisonment for 50 years at hard labor...
