Appellant was indicted for the felony offense of Involuntary Manslaughter. Appellant filed a pretrial motion to dismiss the indictment alleging violation of federal and state constitutional provisions regarding speedy trial. Following a hearing, the trial court denied said motion. Appellant then pleaded guilty pursuant to a plea bargain and was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas...
