This case comes before the Supreme Court on the appeals of both the defendant, Mary DeWitt (DeWitt), and the plaintiff, Troutbrook Farm, Inc. (Troutbrook). DeWitt appeals from the Superior Court's denial of her motion to vacate the default and from the court's award of compensatory damages to Troutbrook. Troutbrook cross-appeals from that portion of the trial justice's order that denied contempt sanctions against DeWitt. We affirm...
