A jury found defendant John Katura guilty of rape, § 566.030,1 and he was sentenced as a prior offender, a persistent sexual offender, and a class X offender to 30 years' imprisonment. Defendant appeals, and that appeal is Case No. 16972. After the jury trial, defendant filed a motion under Rule 29.15 seeking post-conviction relief.
