Defendant, Alexander Wilson, was charged with armed robbery (LSA-R.S. 14:64). A jury returned a responsive verdict of guilty of attempted armed robbery and the trial court imposed a nine year hard-labor sentence to be served without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. Defendant appeals contending that the court erred in allowing an assistant district attorney, not engaged in the prosecution, to testify and that the sentence is excessive...
