In 1989 we appointed the Florida Supreme Court Standing Committee on Mediation and Arbitration Rules and directed the committee to propose procedural rules and to recommend standards of professional conduct. We adopted procedural rules for mediation and arbitration in In re Amendments to Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, 563 So.2d 85 (Fla. 1990).
