Appellant was convicted of attempted second degree murder in violation of HRS §§ 705-500, 707-701.5(1), and 706-656. We affirm.

The indictment read:

On or about the 16th day of April, 1990, to and including the 21st day of April, 1990, in the City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii, SHARON ANN [sic] KLAFTA, being the parent, guardian, or any other person having legal or physical custody of Heather Klafta, a person...
