Justice RAKOWSKI delivered the opinion of the court:

The claimant, John R. Cook, appeals the circuit court's decision confirming the Industrial Commission's decision which awarded claimant temporary total disability (TTD) benefits pursuant to the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act (the Act) (Ill. Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.) At issue is the correct method for calculation of average weekly wage. We affirm.
