The appellant, Charles Gholston, was convicted of being a person, previously convicted of a crime of violence, found to be in possession of a pistol, a violation of § 13A-11-72, Code of Alabama 1975. He was also convicted of menacing, a violation of § 13A-6-23, Code of Alabama 1975. He was sentenced to six months in jail on the menacing conviction.
