BOWES, Judge.

The defendant, Arthur Jackson, was convicted of aggravated rape (LSA-R.S. 14:42) and armed robbery (LSA-R.S. 14:64). He was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence for the aggravated rape conviction, and forty (40) years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence for the armed robbery conviction. The trial judge ordered that the sentences be served consecutively...
