Following a jury trial, defendant William Costello was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 12-14) and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. On appeal, defendant argues that (1) inculpatory statements made during questioning and interrogation should have been suppressed because they were given involuntarily; (2) the trial court erred when it denied his motion in arrest of judgment...
