Four individuals, Gerald Mastracchio, Jr. (Mastracchio), Christopher G. Roffo (Roffo), Norman Laurence (Laurence), and John DeCosta (DeCosta), were charged in 1988 with various crimes arising out of an assault at the maximum-security facility of the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).
