Earl Robinson was convicted in a jury trial of first degree murder in violation of Code § 18.2-32 and of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in violation of Code § 18.2-53.1. The trial judge sentenced him, in accordance with the jury's verdict, to twenty-five years in the penitentiary for the murder conviction and two years for the firearm offense.
