Ronnie Lee Fenstermaker was charged by an amended information with attempted murder in the second degree and assault with intent to commit rape. I.C. §§ 18-4001, -4002, -4003, 18-306; I.C. §§ 18-901(b), -909. On February 7, 1992, he pled guilty to both of these charges. The district court sentenced Fenstermaker to a fifteen-year fixed term for attempted second degree murder and a consecutive indeterminate ten-year term for assault...
