Defendant, William Ciccia, was charged (as was codefendant, Leonard Cerniglia) with one count of armed robbery (Ill.Rev. Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 18-2), of a Dominick's grocery store in Chicago. Defendant was also charged with one count of unlawful use of a firearm by a felon (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 24-1.1). The State nolle prossed this count.
