This is a suit on an assignment of a cause of action against an insurer for bad faith failure to settle for the policy limits. Suit was originally filed by plaintiffs against the tortfeasor and his insurer, Champion Insurance. After the collapse of Champion, Louisiana Insurance Guaranty Association, hereinafter LIGA, was substituted as defendant.
