On September 13, 1990, the Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment charging the defendants, Theodore and Cheryl Anseman, each with one count of manslaughter (LSA-R.S. 14:31) and three counts of cruelty to juveniles (LSA-R.S. 14:92).
