Defendant, Freddie King, Jr., was charged in a single grand jury indictment with four counts of first degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths of William "Little Man" Tennart, Jr. (Count I), Angela Sumerall (Count II), Crystal Crawford (Count III) and Traci Hunsucker (Count IV), violations of LSA-R.S. 14:30. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty to the charges. On the day trial was scheduled to begin, the state amended each of the counts...
