Defendant-appellant appeals from a conviction for first degree murder, claiming the trial court erred in failing to apply a Batson-type inquiry when the prosecutor challenged for cause the only black juror on the venire. Appellant also alleges that the evidence does not support the jury's finding of premeditation and intent, that the trial court erred in admitting certain medical statements, and that his counsel was ineffective.
