PEOPLE v. BUCKLEY

188 A.D.2d 1064 (1992)

The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v. Jay William Buckley, Appellant

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Fourth Department.

December 30, 1992

Judgment unanimously affirmed.

Memorandum:

Defendant's argument that he was denied his statutory right to a speedy trial pursuant to CPL 30.30 is without merit. Defendant was arrested on January 25, 1989, and arraigned on the indictment on February 14, 1989. The People announced their readiness for trial on April 24, 1989, thereby complying with CPL 30.30 (see, People v Kendzia, 64 N.Y.2d 331).
