By a notice of deficiency dated February 22, 1991, respondent determined a deficiency and an addition to tax for petitioner's 1987 taxable year under section 6653(a)(1)(A)1 in the respective amounts of $1,598 and $152.85. Respondent also determined an addition to tax under section 6653(a)(1)(B) in the amount of 50 percent of the interest due on the total underpayment. Petitioner...
