On the evening of August 5, 1985, Donald and Alithea Pratton were driving on Highway 95 in rural Bonner County when their vehicle collided with a calf belonging to the defendant, Jack Gage, which had wandered onto the highway. The Prattons filed a complaint seeking damages for Donald Pratton's personal injury and lost income, Alithea Pratton's loss of consortium, and their loss of personal property...
