WALKER, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction of the felony offense of Illegal Expenditure.1 Following their guilty verdict, the jury sentenced appellant to eighteen (18) years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
