OPINION

GRANT, Justice.

Zafres Lamonn McDonald appeals his conviction of the offense of forgery by passing. He was found guilty by a jury, and his punishment was assessed at twenty years' confinement in the penitentiary.

On appeal, he contends that the trial court erred in admitting into evidence a check that was not the subject of this charge and in admitting a checkbook containing carbon copies of checks...
