Defendant-Appellant Ferdinand Q. Quino (Quino) was convicted of promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) § 712-1241(1)(a)(i) (Supp.1991). The circuit court denied Quino's pre-trial motion to suppress evidence. Subsequently, Quino was found guilty by a circuit court jury and sentenced to incarceration for a term of twenty years.
