On February 14, 1990, Yolanda Smith, Ronnie Smith, Darlene Smith, and Stanley Pope1 sued Desiree Dee Davis and Davis's insurer, Alfa Mutual Insurance Company, alleging that Davis had negligently and/or wantonly caused the accident.
