Appellant Douglas Dedeker was convicted in 1990 for assisting in the escape of a federal prisoner confined in Colorado. See 18 U.S.C. § 752(a) (1988). Following a full admission and negotiated guilty plea, the appellant was interviewed by the probation officer preparing the presentence report ("PSR") for the case.
