Plummer, Jr., a pipe fitter employed by Babcock & Wilcox, a subcontractor, commenced this action against Bechtel Construction Company, which acted as general contractor for the construction of The Detroit Edison Company's Belle River Power Plant, and Edison to recover damages for injuries Plummer sustained on the job.
