Plaintiff, Richard Pry, filed a complaint in the St. Clair County Circuit Court on November 7, 1986, pursuant to the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA) (45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60 (1982)), against the defendant, Alton & Southern Railway Company, for a work-related injury to his left knee on May 24, 1984.
