The defendant, John David Cook, was originally arrested on charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, armed robbery, and attempted aggravated arson. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant subsequently pled guilty to one count of manslaughter. All other charges were dismissed.
