Earl T. Storms, defendant, was convicted of residential burglary (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 19-3) following a jury trial in the circuit court of Lake County. Judgment was entered on the verdict, and defendant was sentenced to a term of 19 years' imprisonment and 3 years of mandatory supervised release.
