I do not agree that review was improvidently granted in the present cause, and therefore I dissent from the court's order dismissing the appeal.

The present matter involves the criminal prosecution of employers for nonpayment of wages, a Class C misdemeanor under the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 48, par. 39m— 14(a)). In the two actions before us, the trial judge dismissed the charges...
