ROGERS, Judge.

In a jury trial, the appellant, Frank Giacona, was convicted of manslaughter, a violation of Ark.Code Ann. § 5-10-104(a)(3) (1987), and was sentenced to a term of five years in prison. On appeal, appellant contends that the trial court erred in denying his motion for a new trial in which he alleged ineffective assistance of counsel. Because we find that appellant's notice of appeal was untimely, we dismiss the appeal.
