The appellant, Gerald Bamberg, was convicted of the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, marijuana, a violation of § 13A-12-213, Code of Alabama 1975. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The state's evidence tended to show that on November 18, 1989, John Wayne Smith purchased $30 worth of marijuana from the appellant. Smith was a volunteer who worked with several law enforcement officers...
