Defendant was convicted of first-degree felony murder (K.S.A. 1989 Supp. 21-3401), aggravated battery (K.S.A. 21-3414), and aggravated burglary (K.S.A. 21-3716). He was sentenced to life imprisonment on the felony-murder conviction and 5 to 20 years on each of the other two convictions, with all the sentences to run consecutively.
