This case arises from North Star Steel Company's (North Star) violation of §§ 8(a)(5) and (1) of the National Labor Relations Act (the Act). The National Labor Relations Board (the Board) found that North Star had violated the Act by unilaterally altering the terms of a company-sponsored health plan which covered certain unionized employees.
