This is a fraud case. Lula Harris, Veronica Hicks, Joanne Holloway, Nawania Williams, Carolyn Harris, and Donna Smith (the students) are the appellees. They claimed that admissions representatives of Delta School of Commerce, Inc. (Delta), the appellant, knowingly made false statements about Delta's medical office assistant program, thereby inducing them to enroll. The jury awarded the students compensatory and punitive damages.
