Defendant, Lloyd Allan Thunberg, was found guilty by a district court jury of second-degree felony murder. His conviction was affirmed by the court of appeals. State v. Thunberg, C3-91-134, 1991 WL 257952 (Minn.App., filed December 10, 1991) (unpublished opinion). We granted review.
