GRANT, Justice.

Angela Kay Williams appeals her conviction of the offense of causing serious bodily injury to an elderly individual. She pleaded guilty, and the jury assessed her punishment at forty years' confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
