In 1988, Phillip Allen Warren was convicted of aggravated battery. I.C. § 18-907(a). Warren was sentenced to a unified term of ten years with five years fixed. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation. Warren's probation was revoked for using methamphetamines; the court retained jurisdiction for 180 days, after which he was again placed on probation and ordered to enter a drug treatment facility in Orofino.
