Plaintiffs Marjette Lacey McDonnell and Mitchell Todd Lacey are the surviving children of the later Dr. J. Allen Lacey and Meredith D. Lacey. Dr. and Mrs. Lacey were killed when an airplane piloted by Dr. Lacey crashed soon after takeoff from Peachtree-DeKalb Airport in DeKalb County on October 1, 1989.
